Endives with Serrano Ham

In order to take advantage of this seasonal vegetable, I offer you a recipe for endives with Serrano hams. The best choice among our products is the Serrano “Aragonia” ham. This ham will go wonderfully with endives, as its slightly salty taste will offset the sweetness of endive and béchamel.

Ingredients

Preparation of the béchamelle

Time required: 15 minutes.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and cook over low heat for a few minutes. 

Gradually add the milk, constantly stirring the mixture.

Boil everything and continue to mix until you get a thick consistency.

Add salt and pepper.

Preparation of chicory

Time required: 15 minutes.

Pre-cook them in water for 10 minutes and drain them.

Surround the endives with the slices of serrano.

Tips: Open the 200g packet of Aragonia serrano 30 minutes before the start of the recipe so that the slices come off easily.

Place the endives in a dish then pour the béchamel and cover the preparation with the Gruyere. 

Cooking

Bake everything in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 ° C.
